We leave on February 3rd!!!!

Ecuador, here we come!!!

Many of you have been asking us all sorts of great questions, and it turns out that Peace Corps has put together a handbook for the families (and friends) of volunteers that can answer most of them.

follow this link....

http://www.peacecorps.gov/multimedia/pdf/faf/homefront.pdf
(if you can't open the link email us and we will send you an electronic copy)

some of the topics include things like...

-training
-living conditions
-natural disasters
-visiting a volunteer
-contacting a volunteer

Enjoy! and keep the questions coming.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

and by popular request, here are some of the pictures from our wedding weekend back in June. (rehearsal, pizza, bocce, ice cream, garden, reception, brunch...)

Thanks for the handbook. It really did answer many of my questions. I feel like I now have a better feeling as to what to expect during your two years of service.
I am glad I read every single page, and probably will reread it again once the two of you have begun training.

Also, I really enjoy the news links that are automatically updated on the right hand side of the blog. I have been following them for a couple of days and now feel much more informed about the country that you are about to go serve in.

Oh, and I did notice that you edited your last post and included links to all the great places you visited in Tucson. The frisbee golf link was quite helpful.

you guys rock!
