Wedding Preparations
Hi Everybody!!
Mike and I are back in Tucson and in full swing wedding prep for my Dad and Sansa's wedding.
Our first day back we put lights up in the tent above the dance floor, put finishing touches on the balcony gazebo, exchanged presents, and ate an amazing Korean meal prepared by J-sun and Ben (Sansa's son's girlfriend and her son).
Today, we went over for the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner and ate another amazing meal. This time Indian food from a local restaurant and dessert...more molasses cookies and brownies...who could get tired of those!! My Aunt Rosemary and Uncle Tommy arrived and we had great fun with Sansa's siblings who also have arrived and were present for the preparations and wonderful meals.
Tomorrow's the big day, so we'll post a wedding day exclusive in the next day or so.
Hope all is well with everyone!!

so this is Christmas
It's cookie time.
Test your pronunciation:
1. stroof-o-lee
2. cals-on-jees
3. pin-yol-ee
4. pit-zel
5. bu-tta
and the man-i-goat-ee stuffing is being made as I type.
Grandma's birthday bash was yesterday, and tonight we are headed into Queens for Chirtmas Eve fish with Aunt Terry and the gang.
Merry Christmas to all!

The pre post-Christmas post
This week was all over the place!! Therefore, a list seems in order to order the events:
- Decorating the house (minus the tree)
- Mike's mom came to visit and we went into the city for some Grimaldi's pizza, other yummy NYC food, and lots of walking.
- A delicious dinner at Janice's house
- Baking many, many, many cookies plus searching for and deciphering some aged-to-perfection handwritten Carbone/Barneo/Sergio classic recipes
-Attempting to catch snowflakes
-Impromptu ice hockey with Adela and inflatable Patrick
-A trip to the American Museum of Natural History
-Lunch at our favorite Thai restaurant in NYC
- Dinner with our teacher-friend Jef, his wife Bea, and their adorable son Leo in Brooklyn
- More baking of the cookies
This may be our last posting until post-Christmas, so have a very Merry Christmas!!

Bring me some figgy pudding...
Day 1: Let it snow...or flurry
Our first day in Bayville we ate bagels, hung around the house, did some errands, and then it snowed, or flurried, depending on how often you see snow!! We all went to bed pretty early and then slept pretty late.
Day 2: Figgy pudding
I guess I underestimated the skill and patience required to prepare the fig trees for their winter cozy. Sue and Mike came over around nine o'clock in the morning and we finished up around two o'clock in the afternoon. I don't think I've ever gathered so many leaves in my entire life.
Day 3: Lights, Cameras, Christmas Trees
Yesterday we walked along the beach over to Angie's to help Sue and Mike decorate the house with Christmas lights. I'm pretty sure you can see it from space now.
Then we went and picked out a Christmas tree and some wreaths. We got the best tree in lot, second only to Sue and Mike's tree, of course, it's not a competition (that wouldn't be very jolly).

Rim to River to Rim at the Grand Canyon
A couple of weeks ago we drove up to the Grand Canyon for five days. Here are the pics...
TRY THIS...
1. Double click on the above picture to see the entire album.
2. From that new window you can watch the slide show, save an image, or even order prints. You decide.
3. Curious about where the picture was taken?? Good. Find the small box (towards the bottom of the Picasa page) that is labeled Photo Locations and click the View album map link. When the map opens I recommend selecting the Hybird view, and don't forget to zoom in and out!
enjoy :)
